Team Endpoint are within one victory away from qualifying to ESEA’s Mountain Dew League (MDL) as they take on Norwegian side, Apeks tonight in a best-of-three match.
Following a long-stretched 33rd ESEA season, the Advanced playoffs will make their conclusion tonight for Endpoint as the lower-bracket round 4 will be played with both teams hoping to secure the final spot into next seasons highly sought-after MDL.
The UK-based side, coached by former Irish CS:GO player Ross ‘RossR’ Rooney, had the opportunity to secure qualification yesterday as they went up against Polish side, Wisla Krakow, housing names such as 28-year-old Grzegorz ‘SZPERO’ Dziamałek and ex-Virtus.Pro legend Paweł ‘byali’ Bieliński. Despite a close-fought match, Endpoint fell on the wrong side of the result as Karkow took the game 2-1, securing their spot in MDL while knocking Ross and his team into the lower-bracket.
Endpoint’s last obstacle will be Apeks, who are coming into the match on a strong run of form having won 4 out of their last 5 matches, including victories over Reason Gaming and Tricked Esports. However, Endpoint will be confident going into the match if HLTV world rankings are anything to go by as Endpoint out-rank their opponents by 51 places and go into the match as favourites but as we know with Counter-Strike by now, anything can happen.
The match is scheduled to start at 17:00 and will be streamed by EndpointTV:
Best of luck to Ross and Team Endpoint tonight!
