Ireland’s top Overwatch coach, Brian ‘Scrivzy’ Scriven, has been unveiled as the new head coach of EU Overwatch Contenders side Shu’s Money Crew.
The 23-year-old mastermind has quickly risen the ranks to earn himself the reputation of being one of the top up and coming coaches in the European region.
Scrivzy began to make the first impact in his coaching career in 2019, where he coached North American Open Division side Team BarahNow to a 10-1 record in the league, showcasing that he had a talent for reading and understanding the game. He then got the opportunity to run for Team Ireland as Head Coach at the Overwatch World Cup and thanks to his work in the transformation of the Irish team, he managed to solidify his reputation of being a name to keep an eye on for the future within the Overwatch coaching scene. The Cork-born coach has most recently been with the Angry Titans academy team where he managed to coach an Irish-majority team all the way through Open Division to within 1 map of qualifying to EU Contenders from Contenders Trials.
Brian will take charge at the helm of Shu’s Money Crew in hope that he can build on the team’s success and solidify their place at the top of Overwatch’s second division with the long term goal of gaining the essential experience and credentials needed to one day make it to coaching an Overwatch League side.
We would like to wish Brian all the very best in his new venture as he becomes the first Irish person to ever be part of a Contenders team set up.
